Fantasy Football 2018: 10 matchups to attack in Week 7
By Connor Ulrey
No. 8 A.J. Green vs. Kansas City
There’s no doubt once again the Chiefs will put up points. It’ll be interesting to see how hard they play after the loss last week, trying to erase any doubt that now creeps in people’s minds. It was a brilliant Sunday night game and both these teams come into the game off late losses.
The Bengals lose late on a touchdown pass to Antonio Brown that looked far too easy. Kansas City got Brady’d via Gronk and Gostkowski.
A.J. Green has five touchdowns through six games, but none the past two weeks even with 13 catches for 197 yards. That’s bound to change. Andy Dalton knows that Green is a key to success for this offense.
Take the Atlanta game for example, Green’s lone touchdown was the winner and was a pretty absolute breeze if we’ve had one.
Nearly half of Green’s catches this season have come when trailing (less than a fifth when leading for clarification). If Kansas City comes out firing it’ll come down to Green’s bread and butter so far this season.
After 85 or more catches in three of his first five years, Green has failed to pass 75 each of the last two years. He’s on pace to exceed that and a great outing against this Kansas City defense? It’s in the cards.
