WR: Tyrell Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

Earlier, Mike Williams looked like the Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver to own in fantasy behind Keenan Allen, who is entrenched as the No .1 wideout and one of the NFL’s premier route-runners. However, Tyrell Williams has been the star of the show over the past couple of weeks, and he produced big-time against the Tennessee Titans defense.

The Titans were helpless against Williams, who caught 4 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, just one week after roasting the Cleveland Browns for exactly 118 and 2 scores on just 3 receptions. Williams has always been a true playmaker, and his value increases whenever the Chargers move to a more vertical passing attack.

That doesn’t happen often, though, because Los Angeles has Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler in the backfield. But it seems like the Chargers are even more effective with Philip Rivers slinging it to his group of weapons, which includes Williams as the most dynamic of the bunch.

If you like wide receivers with high ceilings in fantasy, then Williams is a good guy to target. He won’t score three touchdowns in every two weeks, but he’ll have some mighty performances here and there.

WR: Tre’Quan Smith, New Orleans Saints

Before the 2018 season began, Tre’Quan Smith was highlighted as someone to watch on the New Orleans Saints, even though he is just a third-round rookie out of UCF. The Saints high-volume offense has mouths to feed, namely Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas who are both legitimate superstars in the NFL, but with Ted Ginn Jr. injured, the Saints needed someone to step up as the No. 2 wideout behind Thomas.

Enter Smith, who blew up for 111 yards on 3 receptions with a pair of touchdowns in Week 5 against Washington. Smith didn’t have a Tyrel Williams-esque follow-up in Week 7, but he remained on the fantasy radar with 44 receptions against the Ravens.

Smith is “for real” as a fantasy weapon, and owners should consider him another great high-ceiling option to stash away.
