2019 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Herbert heads to Giants
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals won their second game of the 2018 season on Sunday, as they rallied back against the San Francisco 49ers behind rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. Rosen threw two fourth quarter touchdowns, including one to fellow rookie Christian Kirk, as this offense showed some life behind new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.
As the Cardinals continue their schedule in 2018, the wins could be few and far between, and they are likely to find themselves picking very early in the 2019 NFL Draft. With that pick, they need to get better along the offensive line, and Jonah Williams from Alabama could be the first offensive lineman off the board.
Williams is a big reason why the Crimson Tide are one of the best offenses in the country, and is anchoring a unit that is making Tua Tagovailoa look like a Heisman Trophy winner. Rosen needs a rock on his offensive line, and in Williams, he would have a guy who could protect his blindside for years to come.
David Johnson is still one of the more explosive running backs in the league, but he is being keyed on this season, and the offensive line is not good enough to clear paths for him. Williams checks off a lot of boxes for this offense, and you can expect Rosen and Johnson are hoping the team beefs up the offensive line this offseason.
