Sit Alex Collins

A loaded bye week might force you to use Collins if you have him, even as a flex, but all signs point to sitting him if at all possible.

Collins has a touchdown in two of his last three games (three total), with at least 12.3 PPR points (ESPN scoring) in those same two games and he has five catches over the last two contests.

But he has still had more than 15 carries in two of eight games this season, with more than 60 rushing yards just once, and there’s not much hope for a boom in Week 9.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs (ESPN PPR scoring), with just five total touchdowns allowed to the position thus far.

Collins had a receiving touchdown against them back in Week 4, but 45 total yards and a lost fumble dimished his fantasy point total.

Collins is also dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of practice on Thursday and the acquisition of Ty Montgomery adds to Javorius Allen as someone to take touches in the Ravens’ backfield. If you haven’t totally given up on Collins yet, this is not the week for optimism.
