8. McKenzie Milton, QB, UCF

Quarterback McKenzie Milton sat out the last time that the UCF Knights were on the field, but after the bye week for the Knights, he returned to action to try and avoid an early-week upset bid from the Temple Owls. As has been the case for much of this season, Milton wasn’t perfect in his performance by any stretch. Ultimately though, the productivity was there and he was one of the driving forces for UCF in picking up the win and staying undefeated.

Milton finished the game going 17-of-33 for 312 yards with three touchdowns and just one interception. What’s more, he also added a rushing touchdown, even if he only had 19 yards on seven rushes for the day. Still, with 25 total touchdowns in only seven games played thus far, Milton is submitting another phenomenal season in leading the unbeaten Knights.

7. Karan Higdon, RB, Michigan

Pretty quietly, Karan Higdon has established himself as the heart of the Michigan Wolverines offense and has been consistently producing at an exceptional level on the ground. In Michigan’s massive Week 10 over the Penn State Nittany Lions, Higdon was the catalyst for the offense as he amassed 132 yards and touchdown on 20 carries in the 42-7 victory for the Wolverines.

The performance against Penn State gives Higdon his seventh-straight 100-yard rushing game. In fact, his only game in which he’s played that he didn’t top the century mark was in the season-opening loss to Notre Dame (21 carries, 72 yards, one touchdown). Had he not been out of action against SMU, Higdon may be higher on this list, but he still joins the rankings with his 963 yards and seven scores in eight games played this season.
