Duke Johnson, RB, Cleveland Browns

Duke Johnson might be more of a wide receiver than a running back for the Cleveland Browns at this point, because the Browns have desperately needed his impact in the passing game. Johnson can line up pretty much anywhere as an offensive weapon, and he made his presence felt in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, scoring two touchdowns to give the Browns offense some hope.

Clearly, Johnson has benefited the most from the firings of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who should have spent less time bickering and more time devising a gameplan that maximized Johnson’s strengths.

In Week 9, the former Miami standout caught all 9 of the passes thrown at him by Baker Mayfield, leading the team with 78 receiving yards. With Nick Chubb carrying the load on the ground, Johnson only had one carry, but he did make the most out of that touch, too, turning the rushing attempt into a hefty 8 yards.

Next week, Johnson will face the Atlanta Falcons, and that group of linebackers could be in for an incredibly rough game against Johnson, who is a great candidate to carry his momentum from Week 9 into Week 10.
