Maurice Harris, WR, Washington Redskins

Stats: 10 catches, 124 yards with 12 targets

The Washington Redskins are extremely thin at the wide receiver position. They have dealt with a string of injuries that has created some opportunities for lesser known players like Maurice Harris. His breakout this performance this past weekend was really eye opening.

Harris’ big game was a bit of a perfect storm. He saw plenty of action and targets due to the Redskins injury problems. The Redskins were also forced to throw the ball more because they were trailing for most of the game.

It’s also important to note that the Atlanta Falcons defense has had its share of problems this year.

Harris is a three year veteran who has seen very little action until this point in his career. However, the Redskins appear ready and willing to give him a chance. We have seen players seemingly come out of nowhere to make a name for themselves.

Washington faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend who have struggled to defend the pass for much of the year. The Redskins will look to play their clock control game, but there will be opportunities for Harris and the Redskins passing attack to make some noise.
