NFL Week 10 picks against the spread
By Nick Villano
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts (-3)
If I told you before the season that the Jacksonville Jaguars were giving three points to the Indianapolis Colts, people would think these two teams were fighting for the lead in the AFC South division. That’s not what’s happening. The Colts just took two wins against the two worst teams in the league, and still only have three wins. The Jaguars have an identical three wins, but have lost their last four games.
This one comes down to who can put things together enough to come out big. The loser of this game will officially be eliminated from the playoffs.
The weaknesses of these two teams will be the downfall of whoever loses. Will Blake Bortles ruin this game, or the Colts defense? The Jaguars seem to do better with desperation, and they’ve had an extra week to think about how this season has gone. They will come to hurt someone on Sunday, and that’s bad news for the Colts.

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears (-6.5)
This is a ton of points for a team that has done little to nothing on offense for most of the the season. Mitch Trubisky is having serious trouble with consistency, and despite last week’s score, he never really got into rhythm against the Bills. In fact, the whole offense has been underwhelming. Jordan Howard leads their rushers with less than 450 yards. Taylor Gabriel is somehow their leading receiver.
However, they take this anemic offense home to face the Detroit Lions. Now, the Lions have some impressive wins. They beat the Patriots and Packers, but also have losses to the 49ers and Jets on their resume.
Things seem to be unraveling on the Lions after they traded away Golden Tate. Nobody seems happy with that move. That could derail anything they were trying to make happen. Go with the insane defense of the Bears that could see the return of Khalil Mack.
