4. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are arguably the best team in football as it stands. The Rams and Chiefs are not far behind, but it really doesn’t look like anyone is stopping the Saints anytime soon. Led by seasoned veteran quarterback Drew Brees and an outstanding group of skill position players, the Saints offense is borderline unfair.

Their defense, despite starting the season off very poorly, has bounced back and has been solid in recent weeks. The acquisition of Eli Apple to pair with Marshon Lattimore is looking better and better for the Saints.

This week the Saints square off with the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the Super Bowl last season. This year has not been as kind to the Eagles, as their 4-5 record shows, but they still have a lot of talent.

Last week, the Saints demolished a pretty decent Cincinnati Bengals team, and lord knows what they will do to this Eagles squad that was just beaten by the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. If the Eagles defense can’t find a way to at least slow down Brees and the rest of their weapons, the Saints may put up 60 points.

With the Rams facing the Chiefs on Monday night, this could be a golden opportunity for the Saints to increase their lead in the race for the number one seed in the NFC.
