Los Angeles Chargers have an impressive 7-2 record, and yet still find themselves trailing the Kansas City Chiefs in their division, thanks to the phenom that is Patrick Mahomes. However, the Chargers are still in position to steal the division title, ruining Mahomes’ dream first season under center.

Now, that would require some help from the Chiefs and some more quality wins from the Chargers, but the Bolts winning the division is still a distinct possibility. They’re only two wins behind the Chiefs, but the Chiefs have yet to enter their bye week, which means the Chargers have a game in hand.

With the Chiefs playing the Rams in what is unquestionably going to be one of the best games of the season, the Chargers are in prime position to close in on Kansas City. If the Chiefs drop this game against the Rams before going into the bye next week, the Chargers could be tied atop the division with two consecutive wins.

That makes these next two games must-wins for the Chargers.

This week the Chargers face their division rival Broncos in Los Angeles, although it won’t be much of a home game. At 3-8, the Broncos don’t pose too much of a threat to the Chargers, but it’s the NFL. Anything can happen.
