4. player. 30. . Offensive Tackle. Ole Miss. Greg Little

The New York Jets had a bye this past weekend, but still were able to gain ground on possibly having the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Jets are coming off a terrible loss their last time out, as they welcomed the hapless Buffalo Bills to Metlife Stadium, and were absolutely blasted by Matt Barkley and company.

This Jets team has a lot of holes in it, but one area where there looks to be a bright future is at the quarterback position. New York was able to move up and draft USC quarterback Sam Darnold at No. 3 during the 2018 NFL Draft, and he has done a nice job as the team’s starter in year one.

The problem with Darnold, as is usually the problem with rookie quarterbacks who start for bad teams, is the fact that he has no offensive line. There is no way he can continue to develop behind this offensive line, and with the No. 4 overall pick next April, they should draft Greg Little from Ole Miss.

When it comes to offensive tackles, Greg Little is as good as anyone in this draft class, and the Jets need to make sure the offensive line is a priority next offseason. Darnold is going to be a special player, but even the best quarterbacks cannot get it done when they are consistently on their backs.
