Each NFL team’s MVP this season
Baltimore Ravens-Willie Snead
This was one of our most difficult choices to make. The Ravens defense, on the whole, has been better than the team’s offense, but there hasn’t been a clear standout on that side of the ball. That led us back to the offense and Willie Snead.
Michael Crabtree was signed in the offseason to be Joe Flacco’s No. 1 wideout, but Snead has been the most productive receiver on the roster. He leads the Ravens with 50 catches for 499 yards and one touchdown on the year.
This season Snead has successfully made the transition from deep threat to complete wide receiver. That should position him to be Lamar Jackson’s top target next season. Flacco’s days in the Charm City are clearly numbered.
The real question is how Snead can adjust to being a marked man by opposing defenses. He’s going to get a lot of attention from opposing defensive coordinators down the stretch. His ability to keep up his level of production as the season comes to a close will tell us a lot about just how far Snead has really come.
