9. Josh Adams, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

Even though nothing seemed to go right for the Philadelphia Eagles in their blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints last week, running back Josh Adams managed to have another encouraging performance on the ground, once again demonstrating why he deserves far more carries.

Adams has yet to carry the ball 10 times in a single game, even though he’s averaging 6.1 yards per carry and seems to be getting better every week. He had his best game against the Saints despite the Eagles overall futility as an offense in Week 11, turning those meager seven carries into 53 yards, which is an average of 7.6 yards per carry.

On top of that, Adams scored his first touchdown in the NFL, and he also had his best game as a pass-catcher with three receptions for 19 yards. Though not much, Adams’s work in the passing game could help separate him further from Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement, neither of whom have shown a fraction of Adams’s rushing talent this season.

Going forward, Adams should be the Eagles true feature back, and it wouldn’t be surprising for him to have a true breakout game against the rival New York Giants this week.
