Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore

If Frank Gore is still available in an owner’s league, he is a must-add at this point. The ageless legend has averaged 4.5 yards per carry this season with 54.1 rushing yards per game, and while he’s yet to find paydirt with Kenyan Drake hoarding touchdowns in the Dolphins offense, that could change in an instant.

Drake scored two touchdowns and shined as a receiver in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts, but the former Alabama star also exited the game with a shoulder injury. While Drake did return late in the game for the Dolphins, it’s possible that this injury could limit Drake in Week 13, making Gore an even more attractive fantasy add.

At the very least, Gore is a consistent option on the ground for both the Dolphins offense and fantasy owners. He finished his day against Indianapolis with 67 yards on 14 carries, just one week after blasting the Green Bay Packers defense for 90 yards on just 13 carries.

Gore has topped 50 rushing yards in six of his last seven games, with his high floor making up for his zero touchdowns and a severe lack of a role in the Dolphins passing game. Note that Gore has never totaled 20 receiving yards in a single game this season.
