Fantasy Football, Week 13: Best lineup with start/sit advice
By Dylan Broady
Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams
Stats: 1,043 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns, 441 receiving yards, 4 touchdowns
Todd Gurley in Week 11 tweaked his ankle in the win against the Chiefs. He rushed for a season-low 55 yards. He added 39 receiving yards. Despite the injury Gurley still amassed 94 yards from scrimmage. Which for him this season is considered a down game. There is hope for Gurley to have a bounce-back game in Week 13.
The Los Angeles Rams will play the Detroit Lions. The Lions are 19th-ranked against the rush this season. With Gurley and the high-flying Rams coming to town the Lions will have all they can handle, as Gurley will want to prove he is healthy.
Through 11 games, Gurley has averaged 95 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards per game this season. He has been the best back all season long and will get off to a hot start against a Lions defense that gives up 117 rushing yards per game.
The Rams should easily win this game as the Lions can’t seem to stop a nosebleed this season giving up 355 yards per game to opposing offenses. The Rams average 448 yards from scrimmage per game. This is a good tune up game for the Rams as they will want to sow up the NFC West division with a big win this weekend.
The Rams will want to make another statement after their bye week after taking down the mighty Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. Which was the best game of this season and one of the highest scoring games in NFL history. The Lions don’t stand a chance of slowing down this offense. Gurley will have a big game in Detroit.
He will want to make his case for NFL MVP. In order to win such a prestigious award he will have to come out and have a monster game this Sunday against a defense that will surrender yards to him at will.
Prediction: 150 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, 2 total touchdowns
