NFL betting guide: Bet big on the Saints and Steelers
3. Take the Broncos -4.5 at Cincinnati
The Broncos are one of the last teams you want to face when you’re going to break in a new quarterback. Andy Dalton’s thumb is going to sideline him for the rest of the year which means Jeff Driskel is going to get the start against Denver.
To put it bluntly, Driskel is not going to enjoy any success against the Broncos’ front four. Von Miller are going to make his life a living hell on Sunday. Cincinnati will try to give the ball to Joe Mixon early and often, but he’s going to face limited success for this one-dimensional offense.
The Broncos won’t need much from Case Keenum and company to get a pretty easy road win. One or two big plays should be enough to put this game to bed before halftime.
It’s always a good move to bet against a team whose season is effectively over. The Bengals are going nowhere without Dalton in the lineup. If they don’t enjoy a lot of success early in this game, they are going to absolutely quit on Marvin Lewis and his staff.
The Broncos aren’t good, but they won’t need to be on Sunday. Feel free to push this line all the way up to 6.5 if you want to try to make some extra cash.
