2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have a chance at reaching the playoffs, primarily due to the injury to Alex Smith. With the Redskins now being led by Colt McCoy, they are much weaker than previously with Smith at the helm. This week the Eagles host the Redskins with an opportunity to move into a tie for first place in the NFC East.

Fresh off the heels of a big win over the New York Giants, the Eagles realize they need to win and win now if they have any hopes of competing in the playoffs. They are not eliminated yet, and with a win over the Redskins, the Eagles will put themselves in a much better position to control the division (currently held by the Cowboys).

Running back Josh Adams has stepped up in the absence of Jay Ajayi and the Eagles need to continue to give him touches. Good things just seem to happen when he has the ball in his hands. Carson Wentz has been playing well as of late and the Eagles need to continue to set him up for success.

If the Eagles can defeat the Redskins, they will be in pole position to take the reins in the division, which will undoubtedly be their easiest route to the playoffs. Will Wentz and the defending champions be able to get their season back on track?
