FanDuel NFL: Week 13 lineup
Wide Receivers: Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs- $8,400; Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks- $6,700 & Josh Reynolds, Los Angeles Rams- $5,800
One of the most explosive players in the NFL makes Week 13’s lineup. Hill has 65 receptions for 1,106 and 11 touchdowns this season. He is one of three players to average over 100 receiving yards per game.
He is tied with Antonio Brown and Eric Ebron with the most receiving touchdowns this season and has the third most yards. Hill leads the league with 22 receptions for 20+ yards.
The third-year wideout has scored double digit fantasy points in nine of his 11 games. In Hill’s last game he recorded 10 receptions for a career-high 215 yards and two touchdowns. He finished the game with 38.5 fantasy points, which is .3 points shy of his season-high.
Hill has three games with at least 35 fantasy points. This week he takes on the Oakland Raiders for the first time in 2018. Oakland has allowed opposing receivers to score 16 touchdowns, tied for second third most in the league.
Oakland has done a very solid job against receivers this season, but they haven’t faced a playmaker like Hill. Last season, Hill compiled 10 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown in two games against the Raiders.
Remember, he put up those numbers with Alex Smith as his quarterback. This year, it’s safe to assume better stats with Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball. At $8,400, Hill is the fourth most expensive receiver in Week 13. But, he is averaging more fantasy points per game than the three players ahead of him.
Seattle sneaked out of Carolina with a 30-27 victory last week and Lockett played a huge role in the win. He led the team with five receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown.
Lockett has eight touchdown this season, tied DeAndre Hopkins, Adam Thielen, Michael Thomas and Calvin Ridley for fifth most in the league. Of all those receivers mentioned, Lockett is averaging the most yards per reception (15.4).
The fourth-year wideout has five receptions and at least 67 yards in his last three games. During that stretch, he is averaging nearly 82 yards per game and scored twice. In addition he is averaging just over 15 fantasy points per game during that period.
This week Seattle returns home to take on San Francisco. The 49ers have allowed receivers to score 15 touchdowns, tied for fourth most in the NFL. Receivers have gained 1,892 yards against San Francisco and are averaging 32.1 fantasy points per game.
If the Seahawks want to keep their playoff hopes alive, they will need to rely on Lockett to play at the level he has been playing at.
The final receiver in this week’s lineup is on a different team, but in Lockett’s division. Reynolds’ role in the Rams’ high powered offense will continue to increase with the loss of Cooper Kupp.
In only his third start of the season, Reynolds caught a career high six passes for 80 yards and one touchdown. He was also targeted eight times and played in 97.5 percent of the offensive snaps. This was the second time this year where Reynolds finished with at least 17 fantasy points.
Reynolds has a great opportunity to replicate his success in back to back games as the Rams travel to Detroit. Similar to the Oakland Raiders, the Lions have given up 15 touchdowns. They have surrendered 1,791 yards and 347.1 total fantasy points to the position group.
In two of the Lions’ last three games, they have allowed at least one receiver to eclipse the 100-yard mark. These two teams are trending in opposite directions and the Rams should cruise, which could mean a big performance for Reynolds.
