Players costing over $6,667

Damian Lillard (at DAL – $9,900): Needs 41.5 fantasy points. Lillard was at 59.4 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 2. The Mavericks are actually a tougher matchup than the Spurs, which tells you where the Spurs defense is at this season. Lillard has been a bit inconsistent, but we know he can get points in a hurry. With the Blazers slumping, Lillard will come alive. Diagnosis: Reliable with a solid matchup.

De’Aaron Fox (at PHO – $7,900): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. Fox has been over 37 fantasy points in his last two games after a mini-slump nearing the end of November. He’s shown a high ceiling this season and he gets to go up against the Suns. It’s the Suns. Fox should have no problem gets his numbers with this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable, great opponent, very high ceiling. Love Fox on Tuesday.

Ricky Rubio (vs SA – $6,900): Needs 28.9 fantasy points. Rubio was up to 38 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 2. He’s been all over the place this season, but he always finds a way to deliver against the Spurs. He averaged 40.6 fantasy points in three games against the Spurs last season. There’s just something about this matchup for him. And with the state of the Spurs defense, Rubio seems like a good bet. Diagnosis: Proven matchup, but he is inconsistent. Trust that he continues his success against San Antonio, especially with their defense.
