High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Donovan Mitchell (vs SA – $8,500): Needs 35.1 fantasy points. Mitchell was down to 29.5 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 2. He’ll bounce back against the Spurs, I have no doubt about it. The Spurs aren’t fixed after one good performance against the Blazers and Mitchell can put up points with the best players in the league. He’ll carve up the Spurs defense on Tuesday. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a high ceiling. Love Mitchell on Tuesday.

DeMar DeRozan (at UTA – $8,400): Needs 34.7 fantasy points. DeRozan was up to 56.6 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 2. He was in a slump prior to that game, so hopefully, he’s back on track following the Blazers game. The Jazz are a tough matchup for him and I’m not entirely sold on the Spurs despite what they did to the Blazers. Diagnosis: Matchup is tough, but his ceiling is high. My gut says he’s a risk.

Zach LaVine (at IND – $8,400): Needs 34.7 fantasy points. LaVine was up to 48.3 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 1. He’s been a reliable scorer all season and with the Bulls having just fired their coach, they’ll likely see a motivation boost in this one. The Pacers are a tough matchup, but never doubt the “first game after a coach gets fired” game. It’s tried and true. Diagnosis: Reliable scorer with a high ceiling. Love the circumstances for LaVine and a lot of other Bulls.
