The Nuggets had a huge week, picking up a win over the Raptors and hovering just behind them and the Bucks in the overall point differential rankings. Their rotation seems to have settled a bit and they’ve been getting very strong bench player from Juan Hernangomez, Mason Plumlee, Monte Morris and Malik Beasley. In addition, Paul Millsap seems to have really figured out his place on the team and have been playing fantastic defense.

Nikola Jokic continues to be the driving force and the ceiling for Denver will ultimately come down to how much they can get out of him. Jokic is an elite and skilled offensive player and one of the most efficient creators of offense in the league. But he’s still playing under 30 minutes per game and has taken 12 or fewer shots in roughly half his games. He can absolutely control a game. The more he’s doing it, the better off the Nuggets are.
