Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills

Stats: 18/33, 231 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, nine rushes and 135 yards

Lamar Jackson has been getting all the hype these past few weeks. His combination of running and throwing has made him a unique fantasy play. However, Josh Allen should be in the same conversation based on his recent play.

Allen isn’t as explosive or shifty as Jackson, but his size makes him better equipped to take the pounding that comes with running ball. He also happens possess good athleticism and good speed for the position.

His passing stats have been up and down all year. However, he has shown better accuracy of late. Allen is someone who isn’t going to complete a high percentage of his throws, but he’s someone who won’t hesitate to take a shot down field.

It would take some desperation to actually get Allen in your lineup. However, if you find yourself as a big underdog in the playoffs he’s someone who could serve as a hailmary play.

The Buffalo Bills aren’t having a good season, but this team seems to still be with head coach Sean McDermott. Buffalo continues to play hard and compete despite their record. This plays into your decision making when finalizing your starting lineup.

There’s little doubt Allen is available on your waiver wire.
