Wide Receivers: Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers- $7,900; Adam Humphries, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- $6,500 & Dante Pettis, San Fransisco 49ers- $5,500

The second member of the Chargers to make Week 14’s lineup is Philip Rivers’ favorite target; Allen. He leads the team with 83 receptions and 996 yards. To put that into perspective, he has 54 more receptions than the next leading receiver.

In last week’s victory over the Steelers, Allen compiled a season high 19 receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. He finished the evening with 29.8 fantasy points, most amongst the position for Week 13.

Allen has scored a touchdown in his last four games. During that stretch, he has caught at least six passes for 57 yards in each game. This week, Allen should have similar success against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals have given up 2,020 yards and 12 touchdowns to the position group. On average receivers are scoring 30.1 fantasy points against them. In their last seven games they have allowed one receiver on each team to gain at least 60 yards.

With Melvin Gordon out, Rivers will need to rely on Allen even more. His second-half surge will continue against Cincinnati.

Another wideout who has played well in their last few games is Humphries. He has scored a touchdown in three consecutive games and has five total touchdowns in his last four games. During that span he is averaging 5.2 receptions, 62 yards and one score per game.

He is second on the team in receptions and trails Mike Evans by 13 receptions. While Evans is getting all of the recognition, Humphries is quietly producing. Humphries should have no problem producing this week against the New Orleans Saints.

New Orleans is the worst team in the league when it comes to defending opposing receivers. They have surrendered, 183 receptions, 2,518 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Saints are the only team in the NFL, that are allowing receivers to average more than 35 fantasy points per game.

The last wideout to make the cut is San Fransisco rookie, Pettis. Pettis was a non-factor early in the season, but has started in the team’s last three games.

Last week, he caught a career high five passes for 129 yards and two scores. He finished with 27.2 fantasy points, second amongst receivers in Week 13. In his last two games he’s had at least four receptions, 77 yards and one touchdown per game.

Pettis averaged 19.25 yards per reception in Week 12 and 25.80 yards per reception in last week’s loss to the Seahawks. Nick Mullins has targeted Pettis at least six times over the last three games. His speed and ability to get downfield makes him a desirable option for Mullins.

The Denver Broncos may have some trouble limiting Pettis to those big gains. Denver has allowed 2,073 yards to receivers, ninth most in the NFL. Receivers are averaging 12.72 yards per receptions against the Broncos. With Matt Breida out this week, Mullins may lean on Pettis even in the short-game to help move the chains.
