34. Texas Bowl – Baylor vs. Vanderbilt

This year’s Texas Bowl features two 6-6 teams, but both have their reasons for taking this game seriously. Vanderbilt will look to send 3-year starting quarterback Kyle Shurmur off with a bowl victory, while Baylor, who was 1-11 last season, will look to use this bowl to maintain momentum heading into 2019. By the way, both quarterbacks have the ability to sling it, so it may be an exciting game as well.

33. AutoNation Cure Bowl – Louisiana vs. Tulane

Wondering why this isn’t at the bottom of the list? Well, it gets an honorary bump for being the kickoff to bowl season. That said, neither team plays much defense, but both have put up high point totals over the season, so it could showcase some big plays as well.

32. Quicken Lane Bowl – Minnesota vs. Georgia Tech

Unless you’re a fan of the triple option, your better off staying away from this one. That said, the Quicken Lane Bowl will feature one of the most interesting coaching match-ups you see this bowl season. With Paul Johnson retiring, Georgia Tech will look to send their long-time head coach off with a victory. While Minnesota’s  PJ Fleck, the former head coach of Western Michigan, will be celebrating somewhat of a homecoming in the state of Michigan.

31. Gasparilla Bowl – Marshall vs. South Florida

Unfortunately, for Marshall, South Florida will be playing on their home turf for the Gasparilla Bowl. The Bulls are riding a 5-game losing streak and may be without starting quarterback Blake Barnett. The Thundering Herd rush defense has been dominated all season, so it will be interesting to watch star running back Jordan Cronkrite go to work against Marshall’s impressive front seven.

30. Camellia Bowl – Georgia Southern vs. Eastern Michigan

If you’re checking the spread for all the bowl games, it’ll be tough to find one closer than the Camellia Bowl. The game opened as a pick ’em but has since moved to favor Georgia Southern by 1-point. So if you’re looking for a competitive game, on opening day of bowl season, this will be the game to watch.
