3. Richarlison, Sterling score in entertaining match at the Etihad

The early kickoff on Saturday sees Manchester City host Everton in what should be an exciting encounter. Pep Guardiola and Marco Silva preach attacking soccer and that can be seen in the way their sides play — defense is not necessarily second but it’s almost seen as an addition to attack.

Everton do not look terribly strong at the back but they’ve got the ability going forward to find the back of the net against Manchester City. The Light Blues have conceded in each of their past five matches and their attack isn’t looking as sharp as it was a month ago.

That’s not to say City don’t still possess fantastic attacking threats but opponents now have a much greater chance against them than they would have even in November. Everton can score goals with players like Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson in their side so expect goals in this match.

Raheem Sterling has been in brilliant form all season for Guardiola’s side and even though City lost at Stamford Bridge last weekend the England international was a standout. With each season, Sterling looks like a more mature player and under Guardiola he’s only getting better.

His pace and trickery is certain to cause problems for the Everton defense and whether it’s an audacious run or just being in the right place at the right time, there’s a good chance that Sterling will find the net this weekend.

Richarlison appears to be the most likely to score for Everton no matter who they’re playing. The Brazilian is extremely talented and, like Sterling, he’s only getting better and better. It’s unlikely that he’ll be at Everton for a long time but in order to hit the heights he wants to hit, Richarlison needs to show that he can do it a club like this where chances aren’t as easy to come by.

On Saturday both Richarlison and Sterling will find the back of the net but Manchester City’s attack and defense will have the edge over the Toffees. Expect plenty of goals as City win this one 4-2.
