DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 14, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Dennis Schroder (at DEN – $5,600): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. Schroder has been over 33 fantasy points in his last two games. The minutes continue to be there for him and scoring his not a problem. His assist numbers are down, but they will pick up if those around him could find their shot. Even without the assists, he’s doing enough with his scoring. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. Minutes and shots are not a problem, which always helps.
Jordan Clarkson (vs MIL – $5,300): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. After failing to crack 20 fantasy points in his last two games, Clarkson responded with 37.25 fantasy points against the Knicks. It’s the Knicks. And Clarkson was held to 37.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 10. But minutes and shots are not an issue for Clarkson and I’ll trust him in this matchup. Diagnosis: A bit of a risk, but I have a gut feeling about him on Friday.
Monte Morris (vs OKC – $4,000): Needs 18.3 fantasy points. Morris has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. If Jamal Murray doesn’t end up playing, Morris feels like a steal at this salary. The minutes should be there regardless because the Nuggets are a bit undermanned due to all their injuries. Morris is the kind of guy who typically hurts OKC with his effort and scoring ability. Diagnosis: Good salary, good matchup, and could be a big opportunity with the injuries.
