Triple Threat Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

The Bar (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Usos

What we learned: We learned here that The Bar’s reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions isn’t over yet as they were able to defeat The New Day and The Usos in the first good match of the night.

These three teams have battled so many times in the past that I was certain we’d get an entertaining bout here and that proved to be correct. It wasn’t an instant classic but it was still very solid. The chemistry with these six men is fantastic and it really showed throughout this title matchup.

It took a few minutes for The Usos to get involved as The Bar and The New Day went back and forth to open things but once all teams got into it, there were a lot of fun sequences as this match progressed, the best of which may have been a three-man spot that started when Kofi Kingston attempted a crossbody from the top rope to Cesaro. However, the Swiss Superman showed off his power by catching Kofi and then showed off a bit more by turning that into a suplex position that Jey Uso finished with a crossbody of his own. Very nice stuff there.

The Usos kept things going with superkick after superkick but it wasn’t their night, nor it was it time for another New Day title reign as The Bar picked up the victory after Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Xavier Woods for the 1-2-3.

What’s next: While these three teams are easily the top three teams in the tag division on SmackDown Live, it is time for someone else to challenge The Bar for the titles. Who will that be? Perhaps we’ll get an answer on Tuesday night. But it also wouldn’t surprise me to see this match again.
