Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match

Baron Corbin vs. Braun Strowman

What we learned: So we learned here that there are apparently plenty of people who think that Baron Corbin isn’t doing such a great job as acting General Manager of Monday Night RAW. It’s crazy that all the guys that came down to help Braun Strowman in this TLC match were babyface guys, isn’t it?

So we didn’t get Baron Corbin vs. Braun Strowman. Instead, we got Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, Apollo Crews, Heath Slater (who took off his referee shirt) and a returning Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin. After everyone got their shots in, Slater put his ref shirt back on and Strowman did get in the ring to make the pin, which normally isn’t a thing in a TLC Match. But with nothing to hang above the ring, that’s what we got.

What a waste of time this was. During a pay-per-view event called WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs, an event that only had two actual TLC matches attached to it, one of them got wasted on this. This was a top-of-the-hour segment on RAW at best.

What’s next: So with this “victory”, Braun Strowman is now set to battle Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble next month. As for Baron Corbin, he’s now out as acting GM, which was the only thing keeping him even remotely relevant or entertaining. It was announced just before this match that Vince McMahon would be returning on Monday night so I assume we’ll get our replacement then.
