4. Take the Packers -3 at the Jets

The Packers have endured a nightmare season, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to lose to the Jets this weekend. Whenever the quarterback matchup is Aaron Rodgers vs. Sam Darnold, it’s pretty obvious which side you should be backing.

Keep in mind, the Jets don’t have anything to play for either. They’d love to see Darnold show some more development, but he’s losing weapons on a weekly basis. The lack of talent surrounding the rookie signal caller is going to allow the Packers defense to pin their ears back and rush the passer with impunity.

The key for Green Bay will be to jump on New York early. If Rodgers can lead his offense to an early score, it’s going to put the Jets in catch-up mode. They lack the talent to effectively execute that kind of game plan.

The only thing to be careful of here is Rodgers’ injury status. He insists that he wants to play this weekend, but it’s at least possible the Packers might sit him to protect their franchise quarterback. If that happens, avoid this game like the plague. If Rodgers plays, take Green Bay and feel free to push the line all the way up to 6.5.
