3. Bet on the Chargers -4.5 vs. Baltimore

When Philip Rivers and company rode into Kansas City and came out with a victory it served the rest of the NFL notice that the Chargers are for real. This team can score points against any defense in the league. The Ravens can slow them down, but they can’t stop them entirely.

The location of the game is also a big factor here. The Chargers may not enjoy a classic home field advantage, but Baltimore still has to fly across the country to play this game. That flight is worth at least three points.

For the record, we think Baltimore will enjoy some success moving the ball in this game. Lamar Jackson isn’t going to throw for a ton of yards, but he can keep the chains moving with his legs. The Joe Flacco era is over in The Charm City.

Jackson’s offense can’t match Rivers score for score though. Look for Baltimore to keep this game in the mud for a half, but Los Angeles’ high octane attack is going to get going in the third quarter. Once that happens, the Chargers have a real chance to win this game by multiple scores. This is another line you can push to 6.5 if you want to make some extra cash.
