FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 25, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Lonzo Ball (at GS – $6,700): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. We’re cheating a bit with point guards but you’re probably not thinking of taking Rondo or Rozier unless you’re playing a more risky lineup or are looking to save money. Ball had a rough game against the Grizzlies but still finished with a respectable 23.6 fantasy points. He averaged 37.2 fantasy points in four games against the Warriors last season. Curry didn’t play in three of those games so keep that in mind. Minutes should be there and he does enough in each category to at least be reliable. Diagnosis: Reliable.
Ricky Rubio (vs POR – $6,700): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. Rubio has been over 39 fantasy points in his last two games. The assists appear to be there for him without a problem right now. His scoring will always be a bit all over the place, but right now he’s shooting the ball well. And he typically finds a way to contribute on defense. He had 39.4 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 21. Diagnosis: Good matchup and a high ceiling. But a bit inconsistent.
Emmanuel Mudiay (vs MIL – $6,400): Needs 27 fantasy points. Mudiay has continued to deliver for the Knicks. Part of it is circumstance as the Knicks just need perimeter scoring and the other part is that Mudiay is a good offensive player. He had 42.1 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 1. The minutes and opportunities are going to be there without an issue. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
