DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 29, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Kemba Walker (at WAS – $9,000): Needs 41.6 fantasy points. Kemba had 47 fantasy points against the Nets on Friday. And now he gets the Wizards. Kemba should have no issue getting his points and assists in this one. Even if John Wall plays on Saturday, it’s not like he’s made a difference with their defense. In fact, it’s probably worse with him. Expect a big night from Kemba. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a high ceiling. Plus, Wizards.
Donovan Mitchell (vs NY – $7,500): Needs 34.4 fantasy points. Mitchell had 38 fantasy points in 33 minutes against the Sixers on Dec. 27. His scoring still isn’t where you would like it to be, but it’s been enough and he typically does enough in other categories. More importantly, he gets the Knicks on Saturday. The scoring will be there and he’ll do enough in other areas. Diagnosis: A tad inconsistent, but a high ceiling and Knicks.
Lou Williams (vs SA – $6,600): Needs 30.3 fantasy points. Lou had 50.25 fantasy points against the Lakers on Friday. His minutes were up and obviously the man is a scoring machine. The Clippers will need his ability to hit tough shots in this game, which is why I like him on Saturday. The scoring should be there and he’ll have a better outing with his assist numbers. You can always count on Lou to raise his game in these tough matchups. Diagnosis: High ceiling and the minutes are there again, with helps.
