3. Lincoln Riley

Another young gun from the college ranks, Lincoln Riley has set college football on fire in recent years with the Oklahoma Sooners. His 24-4 record is wildly impressive and resulted in consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff. Although Oklahoma lost both games, they were still part of the final four.

Also, he has coached the last two Heisman Trophy winners, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. His teams score points, they were number one in points per game this season, ahead of the juggernaut known as Alabama. It goes without saying that Riley is an offensive guru, it was the defense that let them down this season and that was on display against Alabama.

However, that loss may have been enough to push Riley into going pro. Perhaps he is realizing that nobody is going to beat Saban, every season is essentially a two-horse race between Alabama and Clemson. The current climate in college football could serve as a little more motivation for Riley to ditch the college ranks to go work with Rodgers and the Packers.

Like Fitzgerald, the process to get Riley out of Oklahoma will be difficult as he is still under contract with the school and needs their permission to interview. Who knows if he is even interested in the job, but doesn’t the pairing of Riley and Rodgers sound intriguing at least? An offensive guru with the most talented quarterback in the league, that could be dangerous.
