High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Tomas Satoransky (at MIA – $5,800): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. Satoransky has filled in nicely in place of Wall. His salary has jumped in a big way but still isn’t high enough for the production he should give you. He’s a guy who routinely goes over 30 fantasy points as the starting point guard. The matchup is tough but I trust Satoransky to keep delivering. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Tyus Jones (vs ORL – $5,800): Needs 27 fantasy points. Everything said about Satoransky pretty much applies to Jones. The minutes and opportunities are there due to the circumstances. The biggest difference is that the matchup is much better for Jones. But also, Rose or Teague could return to the lineup while Wall is definitely out. If he starts, I like him more than Satoransky. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

J.J. Barea (at BOS – $4,400): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. Barea was down to 19 fantasy points against the Hornets but didn’t play much due to the blowout. His minutes should be back up in this one as Boston will compete. And Barea typically plays well in this matchup. He had 39.75 fantasy points against the Celtics on Nov. 24. Diagnosis: As long as the minutes are there, the ceiling is very high.
