High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Russell Westbrook (vs SA – $12,400): Needs 52.8 fantasy points. I’m doubtful that Westbrook can come up with 24 assists again. But in the words of Russell Westbrook, why not? You rarely have to worry about numbers when it comes to Westbrook. And if the Thunder have no centers on the roster, he’ll be tasked with doing more rebounding. The scoring and assists should be there in this game as his passing has been on point recently. Diagnosis: You can always build around Westbrook with confidence.

De’Aaron Fox (vs CHA – $8,700): Needs 37 fantasy points. Fox was down to 31 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 10, but he played only 24 minutes. The Hornets are on a back-to-back, but I trust that they can at least make things competitive with their scoring. He’s been inconsistent during this recent stretch, but I like this matchup for him and trust him to bounce back. Diagnosis: He’ll deliver as long as the game is competitive.

Jamal Murray (at PHO – $7,300): Needs 31.1 fantasy points. Murray had 29.2 fantasy points against the Clippers on Jan. 10. There’s always a concern that this ends up being a blowout, but even in a blowout Murray should put up numbers. He’s averaging 53.2 fantasy points in two games against the Suns this season. And the Suns have a tendency to be scrappy. Diagnosis: Same as Fox.
