DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 16, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Malcolm Brogdon (at MEM – $5,900): Needs 27.5 fantasy points. Brogdon was down on Tuesday but it was a blowout so I’m not too concerned. He’s been good this season and as long as this game is competitive he’ll be back up to value. There is a chance that this game won’t be competitive because the Bucks are just that good and the Grizzlies are a mess but I’m still rolling with Brogdon. Diagnosis: Typically reliable with a good ceiling.
Derrick White (at DAL – $5,800): Needs 27 fantasy points. Much like Brogdon, you can typically count on White to deliver. As I’ve been saying for weeks now, you can always pair White with Forbes and know you’re going to get at least value with a good chance one of them hits big, combining for a nice outing. I have no doubt about White’s game at the moment. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Alec Burks (at POR – $5,200): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Burks has been a force for the Cavaliers and was up to 43.75 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 13. He’s really proving himself and is a much more reliable option than Jordan Clarkson. He does a bit of everything and until he shows signs of slipping, keep riding with him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
