New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram made Dante Fowler relive one of his more embarrassing moments in the NFL for the second time on Sunday.

One of the less glamorous parts of playing running back is blocking in pass protection, particularly on play-action passes. Luckily for the New Orleans Saints, Mark Ingram doesn’t mind doing the dirty work for his team.

During the NFC Championship on Sunday, the Saints were looking take a massive lead in the first quarter, driving down the field up 6-0. Head coach Sean Payton decided to run a play-action rollout, with Drew Brees finding Garrett Griffin for the touchdown.

The crowd was probably more hyped up about Ingram’s block on Rams outside linebacker Dante Fowler, however. On the play, Ingram got low and flipped Fowler, giving Brees plenty of time for the score.

Strangely enough, this wasn’t the first time that Ingram stole Fowler’s soul. This exact same thing happened during the regular-season matchup between these two teams back in November. You can watch below and see how eerily similar the play is.

That block this time around helped set up a touchdown to give the Saints a 13-0 lead. There’s a reason that the Saints were considered one of the best teams in the NFL this year, and the backfield of Ingram and Alvin Kamara is a big part of that.

If this is how the Saints are going to play in the NFC Championship, imagine how fired up their players would be playing in the Super Bowl.
