FanDuel, Jrue Holiday
NEW ORLEANS, LA – APRIL 19: Jrue Holiday /

High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

Jrue Holiday (vs DET – $9,500): Needs 40.8 fantasy points. Holiday has been a very reliable option all season, hitting value in 81 percent of games. With Davis out of the lineup, he’s tasked with doing more and he typically delivers. The matchup is good even at the higher salary because the Pistons aren’t good but the Pelicans defense isn’t good so this should be a competitive game. A quick note on Harden: As always, I’ll never say don’t take him. But the Knicks are terrible and Harden might be too good for his own good in that game. Even in a blowout, he’ll probably deliver big numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

D’Angelo Russell (vs ORL – $8,600): Needs 36.9 fantasy points. Russell has been over 50 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He had 54.9 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 18. Maybe his game isn’t sustainable but until I see him drop off, I’m continuing to take him. The matchup is a good and this should be an offensive affair. He’s running red hot with his shooting and chipping in with plenty of assists. Diagnosis: Red hot and a high ceiling.

Donovan Mitchell (vs DEN – $8,300): Needs 35.6 fantasy points. Mitchell was up to 50.6 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 21. Rubio is back in the lineup but he’s coming off the bench and appears to be on a minutes retraction for the time being. So until he’s back in the starting lineup or the Jazz show they are going to reign in Mitchell a bit from his current form, I’ll continue to rock with Mitchell. They’ll need his scoring and playmaking ability in this one against a tough Nuggets team. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
