High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

Stephen Curry (at BOS – $9,100): Needs 42.3 fantasy points. Curry had 49 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 23. The Warriors are sort of a weird team to figure out because they have so much talent that you aren’t sure what you’re going to get from them on most nights. But you know you’re going to get a lot from someone. And Curry is always a threat based on his scoring and passing ability. He’s reliable if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling if it’s his turn to have a big game.

CJ McCollum (vs ATL – $6,600): Needs 30.75 fantasy points. McCollum is in the same boat as Lillard right now. He’s playing well and the ceiling is high, but this one could be a blowout. And if it’s a blowout, McCollum might not get the minutes you would want from him for a big game. But if it’s a blowout, he’s probably doing his part in getting numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling if the game is competitive.

Will Barton (vs PHI – $6,500): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Barton should see his minutes increase in this one. He wasn’t needed much against the Suns because it’s the Suns. The Sixers are hobbling with no Embiid and no Butler. And it’s possible Barton gets rested on the back-to-back so keep an eye out on that. But if he plays, I expect him to get his full load as a sign that he’s 100 percent healthy. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
