2019 NFL mock draft: Quinnen Williams goes No. 1 overall
By Brad Weiss
During the first half of the 2018 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers look to be in line to make another deep run into the playoffs. Although Le’Veon Bell would prove to be a non-factor all season, as he sat out the entire year, the offense was still loaded.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger led the NFL in passing yards in 2018, though he may be without his favorite target in 2019, as Antonio Brown seems to be out the door. The Steelers were the best team in the AFC North for most of the year, but in the end, it was the Baltimore Ravens who ended up taking the crown.
One area of need for this team heading into the 2019 season is in the secondary, where they should look to add a cornerback in the 2019 NFL draft. Of all the cornerbacks coming out this year, DeAndre Baker from Georgia is one of the best, and could prove to be an instant starter alongside Joe Haden at the two cornerback spots next season.
The bottom line is, Pittsburgh has enough talent on both sides of the ball to make a serious run next season, but they will have to figure out what they’re going to do with Brown this off-season. If the team decides to move on from him, they could get back a bounty for his services, and should go into next season as the favorite to win the AFC North division.
