2. Fulham and Cardiff both get wins to keep survival hopes alive

The bottom of the Premier League table is incredibly tight and right now there are about five teams that all look like they could be relegated come May. The bottom three is currently made of up of Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff with the latter two not far off Burnley and Southampton who are just above the drop zone.

Huddersfield need more than a miracle to stay up whilst both Fulham and Cardiff have a slight chance of staying up. However, in order to do this both of these sides will need to win the kind of games they have this weekend.

Fulham are away at Crystal Palace in an all-London affair which will be a very tough match but is definitely winnable. Cardiff have a home game (where almost all of their wins have come) against Bournemouth which should be an entertaining match.

Crystal Palace have had some really impressive results in the past couple of months and seem to have more of a cutting edge when it comes to scoring goals. On Saturday the Eagles will be without their talisman, Wilfried Zaha, after his dismissal in their midweek match against Southampton.

That is great news for Fulham as their London rivals have a poor record when Zaha doesn’t feature for them. Claudio Ranieri will be hoping that his side show a performance as spirited as their midweek win over Brighton. The Cottagers were 2-0 down but came back to win 4-2.

Cardiff’s matchup with Bournemouth has the potential to be full of goals. Neil Warnock will not want that type of match but he definitely can’t rely on his defense to carry them through this match. The Bluebirds back line has been very suspect and Bournemouth should create plenty of chances against them.

The Welsh side will dig deep and outscore the Cherries in a 4-3 thriller. Wins for Fulham and Cardiff won’t take them out the relegation zone but it will keep them believing in their possible survival.
