Ricky Rubio’s halftime performance was better than Maroon 5

Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio decided to have a Super Bowl halftime show of his own on Sunday night, and he might have been better than Maroon 5.
The Super Bowl halftime show is always divisive, regardless of who the artist is. However, I think we can all get on board with a halftime show that involves Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio playing guitar.
Sunday’s halftime performance featured a number of big starts, from Adam Levine and Maroon 5 to Travis Scott and Big Boi. The performances were up and down during halftime, but Rubio decided to take matters in his own hands at his Super Bowl party.
The Jazz point guard busted out the acoustic guitar and had the party singing a classic from Maroon 5 in “She Will Be Loved”. You can listen to the party’s performance below.

NBA superstar LeBron James decided to sarcastically throw his hat in the ring for next year’s halftime show as well.

Things like this show the cultural impact of the Super Bowl. Even athletes in different sports are having fun and engaging on social media during the game. As for Rubio, however, it might be time to hang up the basketball sneakers and get in the recording studio to put together his debut album.
Maybe Rubio will be able to get LeBron in as a backup dancer once he starts going on his world tour.
