Humphries hits the open market in the peak of his prime. The 25-year-old wide receiver is coming off a career season that saw him get over 100 targets, with 76 receptions for 816 yards and five touchdowns. The Buccaneers’ slot wide receiver was able to finish back-to-back seasons with a catch rate over 70 percent.

Despite the constant revolving door at quarterback between Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick, Humphries still found success as noted above. Thanks to a weak receiver market with the likes of Golden Tate, Tyrell Williams, and John Brown, Humphries is poised to receive a nice payday. The undrafted free agent in 2015 out of Clemson posted a 75.2 grade from Pro Football Focus, which was ranked 32nd out of all eligible wide receivers in 2018.

Humphries could return to Tampa Bay as DeSean Jackson is expected to depart, but teams like the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and New York Jets could use the security blanket wide receiver.

While he’s not quite a household name, the increased importance of slot receivers in today’s NFL passing offenses could give Humphries a strong market should the Buccaneers not want to bring him back.
