4. Higuain scores as Chelsea hold Manchester City to draw

The title race is really hotting up with both Liverpool and Manchester City dropping points in recent weeks and also the fact that Tottenham are keeping themselves in with a shout. Outside of those three teams all the other sides in the Premier League can do now is effect the final outcome.

Chelsea were the first team to beat Manchester City in the league this season and they might fancy their chances of taking more points from the Citizens at the weekend. The last time the two sides met Chelsea struggled in the first half but they managed to withstand City’s pressure and run out 2-0 winners with a much better second half display.

This weekend they’ll face a much tougher task with Guardiola’s side completely rejuvenated after Liverpool’s recent slip-ups against Leicester and West Ham. City are now top and although the Reds have a game in hand, this really favors the Manchester club because they already have the points on the board.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that Chelsea can do them a favor at the weekend and at least grab a draw at the Etihad. Now that the Blues have Gonzalo Higuain in their team as an actual focal point for their attack this might be possible.

The Argentine striker announced himself in the Premier League with a brace against Huddersfield last week and even his involvement in the squad as an out-an-out striker will help the other players around him.

Manchester City are obviously much stronger defensively than Huddersfield but Chelsea will definitely have opportunities to score and Higuain will grab at least one goal in a score draw with the Champions.
