10. Bru McCoy, ATH, Texas

McCoy signed with Texas as one of the most intriguing physical prospects in this Class of 2019. McCoy gives Sugar Bowl-victors Texas their second composite five-star prospect of this recruiting cycle, adding on to the commitment of five-star receiver and fellow early enrollee Jordan Whittington.

McCoy comes in with a top-recorded 40 time of 4.62 seconds, with a 4.22 shuttle time. These times were noted almost a year ago at The Opening Regionals, and its assumed McCoy has only gotten faster with another year of development. At 6’2”, 205 pounds. McCoy also boasts a 37.9 inch vertical.

McCoy comes into Austin ranked as the top athlete in his class and the No. 9 prospect in the class by 247Sports. McCoy originally picked USC as his top choice, but with the exit of offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, the .9944 composite overall player selected the Longhorns as his future home, providing yet another weapon for a dynamic Texas team to use on either offense or defense.

The only question that comes into play is whether the NCAA will prevent him from being eligible in 2019 quick transfer. Here’s to thinking the NCAA lets common sense prevail and keeps McCoy eligible.
