4. Ryan Fitzpatrick (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

The veteran hurler has enjoyed quite a career since entering the league as seventh-round draft choice by the then-St. Louis Rams in 2005. Ryan Fitzpatrick has had his moments, both good and bad, and some even incredibly memorable. But the former Harvard University product has seen his career marked by inconsistency. Still, the bearded one showed this past season he could still pile up the yards and scores.

In a career that span 14 years and seven different teams, Fitzpatrick has played in 141 regular-season contests and made 126 starts. He’s thrown for 29,357 yards and 190 touchdowns with 176 turnovers. In ’18, he was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ starter for the first four games as Jameis Winston served a three-game suspension. He would wind up making seven starts for Dirk Koetter’s club and appeared in eight games.

The 36-year-old hurler finished with 2,366 yards through the air with 17 scores and 12 picks. He threw for 400-plus yards in his first three games against the Saints, Eagles and Steelers – setting a new NFL record for consecutive games with at least that many yards. But after totaling eight TD tosses and just one interceptions during Tampa’s 2-0 start, Fitzpatrick threw more picks (11) than scoring passes (9) in his final six appearances of ’18.

Now he’s about to hit the open market once again. Will he find a home sooner than later? And could he wind up in the starting lineup for an eighth different team this fall?
