2. Indianapolis Colts

Frank Reich’s team took the NFL by surprise behind a much-improved offensive line and fine quarterback play from Andrew Luck. It’s a big priority for the Colts to give Luck more weapons to work with next year.

Luck doesn’t have any trouble pushing the ball down the field, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t benefit from a safety blanket like Bell. Adding him to the Colts scheme would give the team an increased ability to stretch the field vertically and horizontally.

Specifically, adding Bell to the mix would give T.Y. Hilton a lot more opportunities to work against single coverage. He saw an awful lot of attention from opposing safeties last year. It would be nice to see what he could do against single coverage on the outside once in a while.

We have to admit that signing Bell doesn’t seem like a move the Colts would buy into. They are more likely to try to build conservatively through the draft. That doesn’t mean it’s the right strategy. Luck is ready to win now. Giving him a weapon like Bell would give Indianapolis a real chance to make a deep postseason run in 2019.
