Atlanta Braves: LHP Chris Sale

The Atlanta Braves were one of the bigger surprises of the 2018 MLB season, as they came out of nowhere to win the NL East. While loaded with young talent, most figured the Braves to be a year away from being a playoff contender, but they got hot early, and never cooled off.

Manager Brian Snitker was named Manager of the Year, and for good reason, as he led a pretty young roster to the postseason. A lifer in the Braves organization, he was awarded with a new contract, but will need to follow up on their incredible 2018 campaign if he hopes to stay the man in charge.

This offseason, the Braves added some thump to their lineup, signing third baseman Josh Donaldson, as well as veteran catcher Brian McCann. Atlanta has the No. 2 overall farm system in baseball, so they are just getting starter, but should go out and land another arm next winter in Chris Sale from Boston.

Sale has been everything that was expected since going to Boston, helping the team to a World Series title this past season. He is going to get paid when he hits the free agent market next winter, and if the Braves are smart, they would lock him up to a contract, put him at the top of the rotation, and watch the wins pile up.
