4. Trent Brown, OT

If the Giants are going to stick with Eli Manning or test out a rookie in 2019, they will want a strong offensive line. There aren’t many linemen available in free agency, but Brown is one of the best. At 6-foot-8 and 380 pounds, he is immovable on the line and provides great protection for the pass. He allowed just three sacks and 36 pressures during the 2018 regular season.

Brown spent three years with the San Francisco 49ers before moving to the New England Patriots, and in that transition, he proved his versatility by switching from right to left tackle. And at just 25-years-old, he’s hitting the market in his prime.

Offensive linemen don’t always have the most success when moving on from the Patriots, since Brady’s release is quicker than many of his NFL counterparts. Still, Brown is seen as a good fit for a lot of teams and if the Giants pursue him, there will be competition. Brown’s next contract will be a large one, but New York shouldn’t shy away from an investment on the offensive line.
