Round 4 – No pick

The Chiefs don’t own a fourth round pick courtesy of the trade they made with the Buffalo Bills that landed them Patrick Mahomes. Don’t be shocked if the Chiefs actually try to trade into the fourth round as there might be some value to be found in this round.

Round 5 – Pick 157

Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M

The Chiefs will need running back depth because Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West are set to be free agents after this season. After cutting Kareem Hunt the team is currently down to two running backs.

Damien Williams received an extension from the team, but it remains to be seen if he can handle a full seasons workload. After all he was the teams third string running back and he’s never had more than 50 carries in a season.

Trayveon Williams averaged over six yards per carry in two of his three seasons at Texas A&M and tallied up a whopping 271 carries his junior year. He definitely fits the bill if the Chiefs wanted to find a running back that can handle a big workload or give Williams a spell if the Chiefs do decide that they want him to be their primary back.

Whichever direction the Chiefs go they have to add another back this off season they’ll need to add some depth at the position.
